                Jakarta 2025 – The Rector of Universitas Insan Pembangunan Indonesia (Unipi) Tangerang, Prof. Francisca Sestri, accompanied the management of the Gatotkaca Cooperative in an audience with the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Budi Ari Setiadi. Prof. Francisca’s presence in this meeting was not only as an academic, but also in her capacity as a Member of the Supervisory Board of the "Gatotkaca" organization, located at Jl. Pattimura 11, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta.
The meeting discussed various strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the cooperative sector and improving the welfare of Gatotkaca Cooperative members. Key topics included cooperative development programs, regulatory support, and collaboration with the government.
Prof. Francisca emphasized the important role of cooperatives in building a community-based economy and expressed hope for greater government support in promoting innovation and empowerment within Indonesia’s cooperative movement. “Cooperatives are one of the main pillars of Indonesia’s economy. Through synergy among academics, the government, and cooperative practitioners, we can create a more sustainable and inclusive ecosystem,” said Prof. Francisca.
The Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Budi Ari Setiadi, welcomed the proposals presented during the meeting and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing guidance and facilitation for cooperatives seeking to grow and compete globally.
This audience marks an initial step toward strengthening collaboration between Gatotkaca Cooperative, the government, and academic institutions to develop innovative solutions for advancing Indonesia’s cooperative sector.
