                Serang, October 2, 2025 — Lecturers and students from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Insan Pembangunan Indonesia participated in the 2025 Financial Literacy Indonesia Terdepan (LIKE-IT) event, organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in collaboration with Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) at the Aston Hotel Serang.
Carrying the theme “Smart Financial Generation Toward Golden Indonesia,” this educational event provided insights to students on the importance of financial literacy, financial markets, and wise financial management strategies in the digital era. Students of the Faculty of Business UNIPI gained in-depth knowledge on various topics such as the capital market, money market, foreign exchange, and OJK’s policies on investor protection. In addition, participants were equipped with an understanding of the 2025 National Survey on Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLKI), LPS policies on deposit insurance, and the “Love, Proud, and Understand the Rupiah” campaign initiated by Bank Indonesia.
Dwi Purwaningrum, S.M., M.Ak., M.M., a supervising lecturer from the Accounting Study Program, stated that the event provided a valuable learning experience outside the classroom. “LIKE-IT broadens students’ perspectives on the importance of understanding risks and opportunities in the financial world. Financial literacy is a key foundation for them to become smart investors and consumers,” she said.
 
 Meanwhile, Yayah Yulia, SE., M.Ak., a supervising lecturer from the Management Study Program, added the importance of student participation in national activities like this. “Students not only need to understand economic and management theories but also be able to apply them in real-life contexts. Programs like LIKE-IT help shape critical thinking and strong financial responsibility,” she said. The Rector of Universitas Insan Pembangunan Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Dra. Francisca Sestri Goestjahjanti, MM., expressed her appreciation for the active participation of students and lecturers in this national event. “We fully support every faculty initiative that expands students’ horizons. Participation in national-scale events like LIKE-IT proves that UNIPI is committed to developing a generation that is excellent, financially literate, and globally competitive,” she stated.
The Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dr. Istajib Kulla Himmy' Azz, SST., MM., also emphasized that this activity aligns with the university’s efforts to strengthen students’ character and competence development. “We encourage every student to actively engage in activities that support the development of soft skills and economic literacy. This is an essential part of building a progressive and future-oriented academic culture,” he explained.
The Dean of the Faculty of Business, Dr. Marhaendro Purno, SE., M.Si., also expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between lecturers and students in the event. “The participation of UNIPI’s Faculty of Business students in LIKE-IT 2025 is tangible proof of the faculty’s commitment to supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (Freedom to Learn–Independent Campus) program. We will continue to ensure that activities like this become regular initiatives to strengthen students’ financial competencies,” he said.
Through this event, students of the Faculty of Business at Universitas Insan Pembangunan Indonesia are expected to become financially intelligent, high-integrity change agents who are ready to contribute to realizing the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
